I want to write to you about a little thing called networking…

It is so important to get your name out there—in print—and in person. By advertising in Health and Wellness Magazine your name and/or your business name is being placed in front of thousands of businesses and individuals in the Nashville area. But, when you attend our monthly networking meetings, you make your business or service more personal. It makes you appear more accessible.

Each time you attend a Health and Wellness networking meeting you expose yourself to potential new clients, customers, referrals and, yes, even friends. Our meetings are free to all and open to the public, so you never know who you’ll meet from one meeting to the next. And there are no schedules or agendas. We just meet at the designated location and get to know one another and our businesses. So if you haven’t attended one of our networking meetings recently, you really should consider it.

Every day I see evidence of the results my clients receive through our print ads, web site and networking. Here are just a few things that have happened in the last few months…

I referred Bart & Julia James (The Herbal Heart and Healing Hands) to Karen Josephsen (the mold expert). Bart and Julia had met Karen at a meeting but could not remember her name.

Dermess was looking for another colon hydrotherapist. Someone who advertises with us is a colon hydrotherapist. We hooked them up.

In the August/September issue of Health and Wellness Magazine we ran a gratis ad for Discovery Place in Dickson, and because of that ad we now have a new doctor advertising with us.

A friend of mine was having gynecological problems. She saw Dr. Larry Gurley’s article in the August/September issue of Health and Wellness Magazine and is now on her way to resolving those problems.

Cathy Frazier (Pet Resorts of America) has new "Yorkie" clients coming to see her since placing her ad in the last issue.

Since the news of E Coli-contaminated Spinach, I’ve had three people ask me about buying from local farmers. I had the information they needed. I hooked them up.

Gia Tossing lost her rental space and is now with Rhonda Adkins-Angel Essentials in Hendersonville. We talked and are now having our November 14th Health and Wellness Magazine networking meeting there.

Terri Hightower (Dermess) has started a prayer night. She invited me, I have invited Brenda Lee Reed from Genesis Healing Center, Brenda invited her friend Frank from Hollywood, CA. I also invited Diane DelChiaro-owner of Natural Horizons Health Food Store in Franklin, Lynnell Mitchell Colon hydrotherapist in Hendersonville came to a prayer meeting. The circle is growing. Thanks to networking business people are coming together who had never met. The meeting is one time per month. Call 329-3900 for more information.

Mary Glesigie is teaching the 7 Spiritual Laws of Yoga October 30th at Nashville Integrated Medicine in Berry Hill Contact her at 615 797-3101. I mentioned we should talk about the Chopra Center, so Dr. Deepak Chopra will be in our magazine again!

Dr. Mark Johnson attended a networking meeting at Dr. Paul Porceddu’s home, where he met Jeff West. Dr. Johnson is now advertising with Health & Wellness Magazine and helping so many people with pain relief with Prolotherapy.

Laura Darling, RPT from Star Physical Therapy has moved to East Nashville and they need more help. They are advertising again!

We have a new website because Ellen Zucker (EZ-Organizing) introduced me to Mel Erickson (Erickson Business Services) at a networking meeting.

Alisa Welch (Arbonne) is helping us with administrative work because she attended a networking meeting or two and liked what she saw. She is also selling advertising for Health & Wellness Magazine.

Dyanne and Michael Woody have a new church in Franklin, and Boni Maine, Brian Wright, Sas Elliott and many more were there, all because Karen Pryor, RPT held a networking meeting at her new office in Brentwood. "The Woody’s" attended the meeting and invited us all to attend the Wednesday night service.

Janice Mickle and I are sharing a booth at the All About Women Show this weekend. And Mel Erickson (Mel’s Gift Shop) has purchased my booth space at Katherine King’s (Cosmic Connections) Galactic Expo to be held the first weekend in October. Mel also has some of her handcrafted jewelry on display at Cosmic Connections, thanks to a referral from Ellen Zucker.

I could go on and on…it truly is amazing. And we thought spiders were incredible when they made little webs. How lovely it is when we help each other!

Love-

Patricia Martin & Friends
